Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a purely defensive art used primarily on the ground. Since 95% of all street fights end up on the ground, this art is essential in balancing an overall martial artist’s skill. Jiu-Jitsu is a balance of quick efficient takedowns and throws, along with precise chokes, strangles and jointlocks to keep the attacker in a non-damaged submitted state. We incorporate Jiu-Jitsu in our art to open up options for jointlocks and chokes which complements the self-defense in our core curriculum. Understanding the aspects of grappling and upright fighting truly balances a martial artist to have them feel comfortable in any situation.

At this time Jiu-Jitsu is only taught to Family Tree Black Belts.
